Regular Season Round 6: Distrito Olimpico - Adareva 79-60

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Distrito Olimpico as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group B. Distrito Olimpico smashed 6th ranked Adareva in Madrid 79-60. The game was mostly controlled by Distrito Olimpico. Adareva managed to win third quarter 22-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for swingman Maria Bolonio (180-85) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Elena Diaz (188-92) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Distrito Olimpico's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Ty'Desheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and Chilean point guard Sendy Basaez (170-96) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Adareva. Distrito Olimpico have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Rivas Promete and Leganes. Adareva at the other side dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Adareva will play next round against IF Air Europa trying to get back on the winning streak. Distrito Olimpico will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Batalyaws on the road.
