Regular Season Round 7: BVM 2012 - Rosalia 78-60

There was an upset when higher ranked Rosalia (3-2) lost to ninth ranked BVM 2012 (2-2) in Mieres 60-78 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by BVM 2012. Rosalia was better in second period 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BVM 2012 forced 23 Rosalia turnovers. It was a very good performance for American-Puerto Rican guard Bobby Harris (185-91, college: Amer.Internat., agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. American-British forward Jeff Dirkin (203-91, college: Rollins, agency: Duran International) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. BVM 2012's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Power forward Santiago Lorenzo (203-88) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Alfonso Mallo (200-88) added 15 points in the effort for Rosalia. BVM 2012 moved-up to seventh place in Group A-B, which they share with Calidus Gal.COB. Loser Rosalia dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. BVM 2012 will face league's leader Leon at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosalia will play against Ponferrada CDP and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
