Regular Season Round 6: Gandia - Valladolid 71-77

No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Blancos de Rueda (3-3) beat on the road 13th ranked Gandia (1-5) 77-71 on Saturday. Gandia trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 22-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-77 at the end of the game. It was a good game for British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Center Sergio De La Fuente (198-89) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian Agustin Ambrosino (203-90, college: BYU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Carlos Gil (201-93, college: S.Mississippi) added 20 points in the effort for Gandia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Alcazar. Gandia lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Blancos de Rueda will face higher ranked Meridiano Alicante (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Gandia will play against CB Tarragona 2017 (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
