Regular Season Round 7: Almassera - Myrtia 58-84

Date: November 5, 2016
There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Almassera (0-5) was outleveled by leader Myrtia (5-0) in Valencia 84-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Myrtia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Almassera's 28. Quite impressive performance for forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Juan Oliva (203-97) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Myrtia players scored in double figures. Forward Matias Boho (193-96) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and guard Alejandro Garcia (186-93) added 8 points in the effort for Almassera. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Myrtia. They maintain first place in Group E with 5-0 record, which they share with UCAM Murcia II. Almassera lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Myrtia will face Lliria (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Almassera will play against L Alfas (#10) in Alfas Del Pi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
