Regular Season Round 8: Stal SW - Syntex Ksiezak 65-84

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Syntex Ksiezak (7-1) outplayed 5th ranked Stal SW (5-3) in Stalowa Wola 84-65 on Saturday. Syntex Ksiezak forced 23 Stal SW turnovers. Point guard Hubert Makuch (180-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. Forward Mariusz Wojcik (200-79) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Syntex Ksiezak players scored in double figures. Adrian Warszawski (201-96) replied with 18 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Dawid Zagula (185-96) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Stal SW. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Syntex Ksiezak have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 7-1 record despite having the same number of points like the leader AZS PK. Loser Stal SW keeps the fifth place with three games lost. Syntex Ksiezak will face AZS UMCS Lbn (#3) in Lublin in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Stal SW will play on the road against AZS PS Kielce and hope to win that game.
