Regular Season Round 7: CCC Polkowice - AZS UMCS 51-60

TBLK round 7 most important game was a victory of AZS UMCS over 4th placed CCC Polkowice 60-51 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. AZS UMCS forced 23 CCC Polkowice turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by CCC Polkowice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Australia forward Tess Madgen (180-90) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists. Nigeria forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Brittany Boyd (175-93, college: California) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for CCC Polkowice. CCC Polkowice's coach Stefan Svitek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS UMCS have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. CCC Polkowice at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Artego Bydg. and JAS FBG. AZS UMCS is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Widzew (#12) in Lodz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CCC Polkowice will play on the road against Sleza Wroclaw (#3) and is hoping to win this game.
