Very predictable result in Zagreb where third ranked KK Zadar (4-2) defeated 9th ranked Croatia 2006 (1-4) 60-56 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 23-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. KK Zadar dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Croatia 2006's 32. KK Zadar forced 35 Croatia 2006 turnovers. Strangely Croatia 2006 outrebounded KK Zadar 54-28 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Carmen Miloglav (170-91, college: FIU) who scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Glorija Sikiric (168-93) chipped in 8 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marijana Mamic (186-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and Nadia Hadnadj Vidakovic added 20 points and 11 rebounds respectively. KK Zadar maintains third position with 4-2 record behind leader Medvescak. Loser Croatia 2006 dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. KK Zadar will meet at home Sibenik (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Croatia 2006 will play against Plamen Pozega and hope to win that game.
