Regular Season Round 6: Arras - Roannais 69-47

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Arras and 10th ranked Roannais had identical 2-3 record. This time Arras used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from 69-47 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Arras. Roannais was better in third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Roannais to just 4 points in second quarter. It was a good game for American guard D'lesha Lloyd (179-86, college: Clemson, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Aminata Konate (169-90) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Laetitia Guapo (180-95) replied with 12 points and 4 assists and forward Jessica Clemencon (190-89) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Roannais. Roannais' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Arras (3-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with SIG. Newly promoted Roannais dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Arras will face league's second-placed COB Calais on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Roannais will play against the league's leader Avenir (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
