There was an upset when higher ranked Toulouse (3-2) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Dunkerque (2-4) 60-43 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Dunkerque. Toulouse was better in fourth quarter 18-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toulouse to just 4 points in third quarter. Dunkerque held Toulouse to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Dunkerque looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Senegalese power forward Oumou Toure (190-88, agency: Comsport) replied with 12 points and American guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Toulouse. Toulouse's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dunkerque moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Toulouse dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Dunkerque will face higher ranked Bretagne Basket (#4) in Pleyber-Christ in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
