Regular Season Round 7: Chalon - Paris-Levallois 85-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked Chalon/Saor and 5th ranked Paris-Levallois had identical 4-2 record. This time Chalon/Saor used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Levallois 85-70 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Paris-Levallois was better in fourth quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Jason Rich (191-86) produced 27 points and 6 assists and the former international center Vincent Poirier (210-93, agency: Comsport) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Chalon/Saor have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-2 record behind leader Monaco, which they share with Nanterre. Loser Paris-Levallois keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Chalon/Saor will face Limoges CSP Elite (#6) at home in the next round. Paris-Levallois will play against Le Mans and hope to win that game.
