Regular Season Round 4: Provence Basket - Boulogne 77-66

Undefeated leader Provence Basket delivered the fourth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they beat bottom-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (0-4) 77-66 in Fos-sur-Mer. The game was mostly controlled by Provence Basket. SO Maritime Boulogne was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Provence Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to SO Maritime Boulogne's 34. Provence Basket forced 20 SO Maritime Boulogne turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American-Nigeria Derrick Obasohan (198-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Cuba power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas, agency: Court Side) added 13 points respectively for lost side. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Provence Basket have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser SO Maritime Boulogne still closes the standings with four games lost. Provence Basket will face ADA Blois (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against Saint-Quentin (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
