Regular Season Round 12: Fujitsu RW - Aishin AW 82-64

Bottom-ranked Aishin Wings is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to fourth ranked Fujitsu RW (8-2) 82-64 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Aishin Wings managed to win third quarter 23-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Aishin Wings' 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by international point guard Rui Machida (161-93) who scored that evening 20 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-91) supported her with 28 points. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-95) did not help to save the game for Aishin Wings. Center Baiq Ghua (185-92) added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fujitsu RW have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chanson V-M and Denso Iris. Loser Aishin Wings still closes the standings with ten games lost. They share the position with Niigata R. and Yamanashi QB. Fujitsu RW will meet at home Toyota B SR (#7) in the next round. Aishin Wings will play against the league's leader JX-Eneos S. in Kashiwa and look forward to get finally their first victory.
