Regular Season Round 12: JX-Eneos S. - Niigata R. 103-50

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Niigata R. (0-10) in Kashiwa 103-50. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Niigata R. to just 7 points in third quarter. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 26. They outrebounded Niigata R. 58-24 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Niigata R.'s players. It was a good game for the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who led her team to a victory with 28 points and 7 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. Forward Anka Ohama (180-92) replied with 10 points and power forward Mei Chi (175-90) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Niigata R.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record, which they share with Toyota A. Niigata R. at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. They share the position with Aishin AW and Yamanashi QB. JX-Eneos S. is looking forward to face Aishin Wings (#10) in Anjo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Niigata R. will play at home against Mitsubishi K. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
