Regular Season Round 5: Civitanova - Fanola SML 54-37

Everything could happen in Civitanova Marche at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Civitanova and 4th placed Fanola SML had identical 3-1 record. This time Civitanova used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from San Martino di L 54-37 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Civitanova. Fanola SML was better in third quarter 10-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Fanola SML to just 4 points in second quarter. Civitanova forced 26 Fanola SML turnovers. Newly promoted Fanola SML dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Civitanova will face league's second-placed Marghera in Venezia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fanola SML will play at home against the league's leader Bologna (#1) and hope to win that game.
