The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Panathlitikos (3-1) in Ellinikou on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Olympiacos Pireus (4-0) 93-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Panathlitikos. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Olympiacos Pireus dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Panathlitikos' 32. Olympiacos Pireus forced 29 Panathlitikos turnovers and outrebounded them 59-28 including a 25-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Olympiacos Pireus looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Panathlitikos' players. Luxembourg guard Lynn Kaiser (173-87) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Afroditi Kosma (187-83) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Five Olympiacos Pireus players scored in double figures. The former international guard Nafsika Stavridou (182-86) produced 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Eleni Syra (167-95) added 4 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos Pireus have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Panathlitikos keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Panathinaikos.
