Regular Season Round 14: Tochigi Brex - Hokkaido L. 92-67

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Tochigi Brex (12-2) crushed at home 5th ranked Hokkaido L. (4-10) 92-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 14 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 25 points. Tochigi Brex outrebounded Hokkaido L. 50-18 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Tochigi Brex especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) contributed with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Tochigi Brex's coach Thomas Wisman felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) replied with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international forward Daisuke Noguchi (196-83) added 16 points in the effort for Hokkaido L.Tochigi Brex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-2 record. Loser Hokkaido L. keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. Tochigi Brex will face Sendai 89ers (#4) on the road in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play against the league's second-placed Toyota Alvark and hope to win that game.
