Regular Season Round 7: Tromso - Gimle BBK 55-86

The game in Tromso supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Gimle BBK (6-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Tromso (2-7). Gimle BBK smashed Tromso 86-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gimle BBK had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) helped adding 9 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side guard Henrik Lange (189-95) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Aslak Smalas (186-89) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gimle BBK. They moved-up to third place. Loser Tromso dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Gimle BBK will meet at home league's second-placed Kongsberg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tromso will play against Asker Aliens (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
