Regular Season Round 7: Sant Nicolau - Olivar 92-93

Everything could happen in Sabadell at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Olivar and 13th ranked Sant Nicolau had identical 1-4 record. But Sant Nicolau was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Zaragoza 93-92 on Sunday night. Olivar forced 19 Sant Nicolau turnovers. It was a very good performance for Czech swingman Simon Pursl (200-97) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Jaime Pradilla (198-1) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Center Larry Ewulu (197-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and forward Marc Sobrepera (201-86) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Sant Nicolau. Four Sant Nicolau players scored in double figures. Sant Nicolau's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Olivar (2-4) moved-up to tenth place in Group C-A, which they share with Mataro. Sant Nicolau lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. Olivar will face higher ranked Arenys (#6) in Arenys del Mar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sant Nicolau will play on the road against Cornella (#4) and hope to win that game.
