Regular Season Round 6: Valmontone - Maddaloni 94-48

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Maddaloni (3-3) was outscored on the road by fifth ranked Valmontone (4-1) 94-48 on Sunday. Valmontone outrebounded Maddaloni 38-20 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Antonio De Fabritiis (189-90) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Valmontone players scored in double figures. Valmontone's coach Agostino Origlio felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Ernesto Carrichiello (197-84) replied with 13 points and forward Giuseppe Luongo (196-91) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Maddaloni. Valmontone have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with USE Basket and Montegrano. Loser Maddaloni dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Valmontone will face Basket Barcellona (#6) on the road in the next round.
