Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv and 8th ranked Bnei Hasharon had identical 2-2 record. This time Hapoel Tel-Aviv used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Hod Hasharon 84-77 on Sunday night. Bnei Hasharon trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 23-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-84 at the end of the game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach Sharon Avrahami used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown, agency: HMS) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel J-M and Maccabi Rishon. Loser Bnei Hasharon dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will meet bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against the league's leader Maccabi T-A (#1) and hope to secure a win.
