The game in Logrono was also quite interesting. Second ranked Perfumerias Avenida (7-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Campus Promete (3-5). Perfumerias Avenida did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-61 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Campus Promete managed to win third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American guard Erica Wheeler (170-91, college: Rutgers) who scored that evening 22 points and international center Laura Gil (190-92) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by Italian-Australia guard Nicole Romeo (168-89, college: Washington, agency: Regeneracom Sports) did not help to save the game for Campus Promete. American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Girona. Loser Campus Promete keeps the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Perfumerias Avenida will meet at home Al-Qazeres (#4) in the next round. Campus Promete will play against the league's leader Argon Uni Girona (#1) and hope to secure a win.
