Regular Season Round 4: Shandong GS - Beijing D. 89-106

We should not miss the game where eighth ranked Beijing Ducks (3-1) against 6th ranked Shandong Bulls (2-2) where Beijing Ducks won on the road by seventeen points 106-89. Beijing Ducks dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Shandong Bulls' 40 and made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Beijing Ducks players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Shandong Bulls' players. The winners were led by American power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Xiaochuan Zhai (205-93) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds by American forward Jason Thompson (211-86, college: Rider) did not help to save the game for Shandong Bulls. His fellow American import point guard Norris Cole (188-88, college: Cleveland St.) added 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Beijing Ducks and five Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Beijing Ducks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Shandong Bulls at the other side dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. Beijing Ducks' next round opponent will be TianJin Steel (#7) in Tianjin. Shandong Bulls will play at home against North Control and hope to win that game.
