Regular Season Round 8: AZS UMCS Lbn - Zubry 78-62

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Zubry (1-6) lost to third ranked AZS UMCS Lbn (6-1) in Lublin 62-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS UMCS Lbn. Zubry was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS UMCS Lbn looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Sebastian Dusilo (198-92) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Swingman Bartlomiej Karolak (198-92) contributed with 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) replied with 8 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) added 22 points in the effort for Zubry. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS UMCS Lbn maintains third position in Group B with 6-1 record behind leader AZS PK. Zubry lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. AZS UMCS Lbn will face league's second-placed Syntex Ksiezak in Lowicz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zubry will play at home against Shmoolky W-wa (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
