Regular Season Round 15: Iwate Big Bulls - Cyberdyne IR 81-65

There was an upset when second-best Cyberdyne IR (8-6) lost on the road to sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (2-12) 81-65 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Iwate Big Bulls's pressure prevailed and they won that period 24-14 extending their advantage to 16 points. Iwate Big Bulls forced 19 Cyberdyne IR turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Makoto Sawaguchi (184-91) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and British power forward Dzaflo Larkai (203-81, college: Bellarmine, agency: Interperformances) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Cyberdyne IR. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth place with 2-12 record. Loser Cyberdyne IR keeps the second position with six games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will face league's second-placed Fukushima on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cyberdyne IR will play against Aomori Watts and hope to win that game.
