Regular Season Round 6: TuNMKY - Espoo Basket 83-65

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Espoo Basket (5-2) against eleventh ranked TuNMKY (2-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Espoo Basket was defeated by TuNMKY in Turun 83-65. The game was mostly controlled by TuNMKY. Espoo Basket managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Eero Innamaa (186-98) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and center Mikael Sandberg (210-91) supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Four TuNMKY players scored in double figures. TuNMKY's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by American point guard Darian Cartharn (183-91, college: Mo.-St.Louis) did not help to save the game for Espoo Basket. His fellow American import swingman Justice Graham (198-79, college: Glenville St.) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. TuNMKY moved-up to ninth place in Division. Espoo Basket at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. TuNMKY will meet at home higher ranked HNMKY U23 (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Espoo Basket will play against Korikouvot (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
