The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Giants B's (3-5) home victory over 12th ranked Ekeren (2-8) in Antwerp 83-67. They outrebounded Ekeren 46-24 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Giants B players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Ekeren's players. Center Roby Rogiers (202-97, agency: Court Side) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Swingman Thibaut Vervoort (195-97) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Giants B players scored in double figures. Giants B's coach Thomas Crab allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Dave Van den Brande (189-82) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Zed Peeters (-96) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Giants B moved-up to ninth place. Ekeren lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Giants B's next round opponent will be league's leader Gembo BBC in Borgerhout and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ekeren will play at home against Waregem (#3) and hope to win that game.
