The game was mostly controlled by Lattes Montpellier. Nantes Reze managed to win third quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Lattes Montpellier won last quarter 16-6. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Nantes Reze to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Lattes Montpellier looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Sarah Michel (180-89, agency: Comsport) notched 14 points to lead the effort and international guard Gaelle Skrela (177-83) supported her with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by German Margret Skuballa (186-87) did not help to save the game for Nantes Reze. Canadian forward Katherine Plouffe (190-92, college: Marquette) added 9 points and 7 rebounds. Lattes Montpellier have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Nantes Reze lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Nice. Lattes Montpellier will meet at home bottom-ranked Tarbes (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
