Rather expected game when 9th ranked Echague (3-12) lost to seventh ranked Instituto (7-7) in Cordoba 74-86 on Monday. The game without a history. Instituto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Echague's players. American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The other American import center Sam Clancy (202-80, college: USC, agency: DTMones) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Instituto's coach Ariel Rearte allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian-Polish center Dallin Bachynski (213-91, college: Utah) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Pro Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Echague. Instituto moved-up to sixth place in Norte, which they share with Regatas C. Echague lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. Instituto will have a break next round. Echague will play on the road against Libertad Sunchales (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
