Regular Season Round 9: Udominate - Lulea Basket 80-63

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Umea. Leader Udominate faced 3rd placed Lulea Basket. Host Udominate (9-0) defeated guests from Lulea (7-3) 80-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lulea Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Udominate. Lulea Basket managed to win fourth quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Latvia center Zenta Melnika (197-91) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Lithuania point guard Santa Okockyte (175-92) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Four Udominate players scored in double figures. Udominate's coach Tamara Ruzic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Katie Bussey (175-90, college: Montana St., agency: LBM Management) who recorded 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and FYR Macedonia forward Jelena Antic (187-91, college: Liberty) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Udominate have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Defending champion Lulea Basket keeps the third position with three games lost. Udominate are again looking forward to face Lulea Basket (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lulea Basket will have a break next round.
