Regular Season Round 8: Palma - Ourense 95-107

The most shocking disappointment of round 8 was a home defeat of 7th ranked Palma (4-4) to eighth ranked Ourense (5-3) 107-95. It ended the two-game winning streak of Palma. Worth to mention a great performance of center Francisco Guerra (214-92) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian-Bosnian guard Nemanja Mitrovic (197-90, college: Portland) who added 22 points during the contest. Ourense's coach Gonzalo Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and center Victor Serrano (211-89) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Ourense and four Palma players scored in double figures. Ourense moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Palma at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Burgos. Ourense is looking forward to face Araberri (#7) in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the next round. Palma will play on the road against Cocinas.com in Logrono and is hoping to win this game.
