Regular Season Round 8: Gipuzkoa GBC - Palencia 73-69

This time Gipuzkoa used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Palencia 73-69 on Tuesday night. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuania center Tautvydas Slezas (207-90, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Ricardo Uriz (188-80) who added 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Gipuzkoa's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Daniel Rodriguez (182-84) responded with 25 points and forward Marc Blanch (195-82) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Gipuzkoa (6-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with Breogan. Loser Palencia Baloncesto keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Gipuzkoa will face league's second-placed Lleida Basquet on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Palencia Baloncesto will play against Melilla Baloncesto and hope to win that game.
