Regular Season Round 9: Mark - IK Eos 73-58

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked IK Eos' (4-5) road loss to fifth ranked Mark (5-3) 58-73. The game was mostly controlled by Mark. IK Eos was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded IK Eos 49-37 including a 38-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Elin Ljunggren (185-96) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Tiasha Gray (170-94, college: Austin Peay St.) accounted for 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Mark's coach Robin Sandberg allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Antoinette Thompson (170-90, college: TCU) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import Vee Young (186-89, college: Martin Methodist) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for IK Eos in the defeat. Mark maintains fifth place with 5-3 record. IK Eos lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the sixth position with five games lost. Mark's next round opponent will be Telge (#8) at home. IK Eos will play against KFUM Ostersund and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
