Regular Season Round 7: BrGU - Tsmoki-Minsk 42-75

Bottom-ranked BrGU COR Victoria is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to second ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (5-1) 75-42. The game without a history. Tsmoki-Minsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk forced 27 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Alexandra Shevchenko (176-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points. Forward Diana Sizonova (176-96) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side swingman Diana Tolochko (177-96) responded with 9 points and 13 rebounds and Anastasia Babak (-2) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. BrGU COR Victoria's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Tsmoki-Minsk maintains second place with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Gorizont. BrGU COR Victoria at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against Victoria (#5) in Grodno in the next round. BrGU COR Victoria will play on the road against the league's leader Gorizont in Minsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
