Regular Season Round 7: Alcazar - Navarra 65-50

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Navarra (2-5) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Alcazar (4-3) 65-50. The game was mostly controlled by Alcazar. Navarra was better in third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ignacio Diaz (200-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Tyrone Nared (203-88, college: Oregon) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Alcazar's coach David Varela allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Inaki Narros (196-81) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds and Austria forward Maximilian Hopfgartner (206-92, college: John Brown, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Navarra. Alcazar moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Valladolid and Moron. Navarra at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Alcazar's next round opponent will be Albacete (#12) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Navarra will play against Gandia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
