Regular Season Round 7: Persbraten - Ammerud Bskt 61-81

Bottom-ranked Persbraten (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 81-61 loss to ninth ranked Ammerud Bskt (2-6) in Oslo. The game without a history. Ammerud Bskt led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ammerud Bskt forced 25 Persbraten turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American-German forward Marco Sanders (202-79, college: Point Park) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Andreas Xepapadakis (185-94) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Hungarian-Swedish guard Zoltan Kurinczky (181-82) answered with 19 points and Lithuania forward Marius Puzaras (194-83) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Persbraten. Persbraten's coach Axel Langaker rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Ammerud Bskt moved-up to eighth place. Persbraten lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with six games lost. Ammerud Bskt will play against higher ranked Baerum Basket (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Persbraten will play on the road against Nidaros Jets (#5) in Tromdheim and hopes to get finally their first victory.
