Regular Season Round 5: TTU - Parnu 89-71

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked TTU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. TTU defeated 5th ranked Parnu in Tallinn 89-71. The game was mostly controlled by TTU. Parnu managed to win fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was power forward Joonas Jarvelainen (202-90, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Kiur Akenparg (190-88) chipped in 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Norman Kabin (188-97, agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points and 4 assists and Saimon Sutt (200-95) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Five TTU and four Parnu players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Parnu at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Tarvas. Parnu will play next round against Audentese/N. trying to get back on the winning streak. TTU will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked TU/Rock in Tartu.
