Regular Season Round 8: Helsingborg - Hoganas 96-90

Bottom-ranked Hoganas (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-90 loss to ninth ranked Helsingborg (2-5) in Helsingborg. Hoganas were ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 22-21 charge of Helsingborg, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Helsingborg forced 19 Hoganas turnovers. Guard Stefan Zivkovic (185-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Guard Erik Joelsson (196-97) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Helsingborg's coach Martin Fastberg used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Lithuania guard Aurimas Bulsis (196-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists and Lithuania center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) added 23 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Hoganas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Helsingborg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Jamtland II. Hoganas at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Helsingborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hoganas will play on the road against Huddinge (#7) and hope to get finally their first victory.
