No shocking result in a game in Buenos Aires where fourth ranked Ferrocarril (9-6) won against 10th ranked Hispano Am. (2-11) 90-83 on Friday. Ferrocarril made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Hispano Am. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Center Jose Ignacio Alessio (203-87) helped adding 20 points. Ferrocarril's coach Alvaro Castineira used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Cedric McGowan (200-85, college: Cincinnati, agency: Pro Sports) with 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Mariano Byro (194-82) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Ferrocarril will face again Hispano Am. (#10) in Rio Gallegos in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
