There was a small surprise in Bialystok where twelfth ranked Zubry (2-6) won against 9th ranked Shmoolky W-wa (4-5) 102-91 on Friday. Zubry made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Shmoolky W-wa's players. Andrzej Misiewicz (199-84, college: Daytona St. CC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Krzysztof Kalinowski (186-76) chipped in 23 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was point guard Rafal Piesio (178-92) with 22 points, 8 assists and 5 steals and guard Roman Janik (187-95) scored 24 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zubry moved-up to tenth place in Group B. Loser Shmoolky W-wa dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Zubry will face higher ranked Ostrow Mazow. (#7) in Ostrow Mazowiecki in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
