Very important is a road loss of third ranked Gimbasket WRC (6-3) against tenth ranked Miedzychod (3-5) on Friday night. Visiting Gimbasket WRC was defeated by Miedzychod in Miedzychod 67-53. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Gimbasket WRC's 16. Miedzychod forced 21 Gimbasket WRC turnovers and had a 36-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Miedzychod's coach Marcin Chodkiewicz used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Luka Malachow (184-94) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Rafal Malitka (205-91) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Miedzychod moved-up to ninth place in Group D. Loser Gimbasket WRC dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Miedzychod will meet Kalisz (#12) on the road in the next round. Gimbasket WRC will play against Rawia (#7) and hope to secure a win.
