KK Skrljevo's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Alkar Sinj (2-4) 91-84 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 21-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 7-point victory in overtime. KK Skrljevo forced 20 Alkar Sinj turnovers. Strangely Alkar Sinj outrebounded KK Skrljevo 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. 33 personal fouls committed by Alkar Sinj helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for swingman Davor Konjevic (197-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Dino Palcic (185-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists for the winners. Four KK Skrljevo players scored in double figures. KK Skrljevo's coach Luka Bujas used entire bench in such tough game. American guard Brandon Johnson (183-86, college: San Diego, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals and forward Nikola Gaurina (197-83, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Alkar Sinj. KK Skrljevo (1-5) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Kvarner 2010. Alkar Sinj at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. KK Skrljevo is looking forward to face league's leader GKK Sibenik on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Alkar Sinj will play against Kvarner (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
