Regular Season Round 7: Pyrinto II - ToPo 73-62

There was a change at the 1st Division leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader ToPo (5-3). They were defeated by tenth ranked Pyrinto II (2-6) 73-62 on Friday night. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Pyrinto II outrebounded ToPo 39-26 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Kristian Rasinaho (192-93) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side guard Emil Djeen (183-94, college: High School) responded with 17 points and point guard Miki Kuusisto (194-94) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. ToPo's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pyrinto II moved-up to ninth place in Division. Newly promoted ToPo dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by PuHu Juniorit. ToPo will play next round against Jyvaskyla BA trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Pyrinto II will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Lahti at home.
