Regular Season Round 1: Tokyo Cinq R. - Tokyo HT 104-71

Tokyo HT (1-1) recorded a loss on the court of Tokyo Cinq R.. Visitors were rolled over by Tokyo Cinq R. 104-71. The game was mostly controlled by Tokyo Cinq R.. Tokyo HT was better in third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Tokyo Cinq R. forced 22 Tokyo HT turnovers. Swingman Mitsuhiro Kamezaki (189-86) nailed 37 points (!!!) for the winning side and American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. American forward Brian Harper (204-85, college: Paine, agency: HMS) came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Carl Hall (201-89, college: Wichita St.) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Tokyo HT in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against Aisin AW (#7) in Aichi in the next round. Tokyo HT's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
