Regular Season Round 9: Otmuchow - Stal II Ostrow 60-84

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Stal II Ostrow (7-2) smashed on the road 11th ranked Otmuchow (2-6) 84-60 on Friday. Stal II Ostrow dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Otmuchow's 24. Stal II Ostrow forced 21 Otmuchow turnovers and outrebounded them 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Mikolaj Spala (189-93) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Krzysztof Spala (190-93) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Stal II Ostrow players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Patryk Garwol (188-95) with 19 points and Krzysztof Wilk (201-90) scored 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stal II Ostrow moved-up to third place in Group D. Loser Otmuchow keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Stal II Ostrow will face league's leader Slask in Wroclaw in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Otmuchow will play on the road against Katy Wroclawskie (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
