Regular Season Round 11: CFBB - Chartres 91-97

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to thirteenth ranked UB Chartres (5-6) 97-91 on Friday evening. CFBB trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 25-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 91-97 at the end of the game. UB Chartres shot 60.7 percent from the field. They also forced 23 CFBB turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Olivier Romain (180-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Power forward Harry Disy (200-84, college: Louisiana Tech) accounted for 25 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Point guard Joel Ayayi (193-0) came up with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) and forward Ivan Fevrier (200-99) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for CFBB in the defeat. Five UB Chartres and four CFBB players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UB Chartres moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lorient. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 11 games lost. UB Chartres will meet at home Gries/Oberhoffen (#17) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. CFBB will play against SAP Vaucluse in Sorgues and hopes to get finally their first victory.
