Regular Season Round 6: Prinemanye - Vitebsk 72-80

Vitebsk can celebrate finally their first win this season after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Grodno, where they defeated Prinemanye (2-5) 80-72 on Friday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Anton Vashkevich (204-94) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Sergey Sapegin (195-84) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Pavel Suvorov (185-95) who recorded 19 points and forward Dmitriy Chumakov (203-93) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vitebsk (1-4) left bottom position moving up to seventh place. It was Prinemanye's third loss in a row. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Vitebsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Prinemanye will play again at home against Vitebsk (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
