Regular Season Round 9: Malbas - Boras 78-75

The game between third ranked Boras Basket (4-4) and ninth ranked Malbas (1-7) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Boras Basket was edged by Malbas in a tough game in Malmo 75-78. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-75. It was a good game for American guard Adrian Rodgers (194-92, college: Southern) who led his team to a victory with 25 points. Forward Fredrik Larsson (201-93) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Malbas players scored in double figures. American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) answered with 27 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Trayvonn Wright (201-91, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boras Basket. Malbas maintains ninth place with 1-7 record. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Malbas are looking forward to face higher ranked Uppsala Basket (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boras Basket will have a break next round.
