Regular Season Round 6: Koroivos - Aris 94-99

Very predictable result when seventh ranked Aris (3-3) won against on the road 13th ranked Koroivos (1-5) 99-94. Aris brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Koroivos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was guard Will Cummings (188-92, college: Temple) who scored 27 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Devyn Marble (198-92, college: Iowa) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. Aris' coach Dimitris Priftis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Ken Brown (180-89, college: Philander Smith, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) added 24 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Aris moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Promitheas. Koroivos at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Aris' next round opponent will be higher ranked Panathinaikos (#3) in Athens and it may be quite challenging game. Koroivos will play on the road against Apollon Patras (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
