Regular Season Round 8: Rivas - Alcobendas 57-66

Very predictable result when eighth ranked Alcobendas (5-3) defeated on the road 15th ranked Rivas (1-7) 66-57 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-17. But Rivas won second period 11-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Guillermo Ruiz (185-95, college: Newberry) who added 12 points during the contest. Power forward Angel Gomez (197-87) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Javier Mulas (198-85) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alcobendas moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Casvi and Azuqueca. Rivas lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost.
