Regular Season Round 8: Artego Bydg. - JAS FBG 90-72

Everything could happen in Bydgoszcz at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Artego Bydg. and 8th ranked JAS FBG had identical 4-3 record. This time Artego Bydg. used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sosnowiec 90-72 on Saturday night. Artego Bydg. shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by JAS FBG's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Denesha Stallworth (190-92, college: Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Elzbieta Miedzik (180-83) who added 22 points and 8 assists during the contest. American point guard Ketia Swanier (170-86, college: Connecticut) responded with 22 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and her fellow American import center Nicole Michael (188-87, college: Syracuse, agency: Two Points) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Five Artego Bydg. and four JAS FBG players scored in double figures. Artego Bydg. (5-3) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Energa Torun. JAS FBG at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with CCC Polkowice. Artego Bydg. is looking forward to face higher ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (#3) in Gorzow Wlkp. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JAS FBG will play at home against the league's leader Wisla Can-Pack (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
